Vakta Ka Swarup Date :29h April 08.

Vakta ka Swarup: (page 14-15)

True Vakta believes completely in jainism.
He must have complete faith (shradhan) in Jainism.
There are two types of shradhan:
1) Nishchaynay Shradhan
2) Vyavaharnay Shradhan
Nishchyanay meaning: Say the things as it is. (jo vastu jesi hai aesa kehna)
Vyavaharnaya: ex. “amarchand ko sapna tumne prabhu dina”
Here God never gave dream to Amarchand, but we used to say like this.
That is called vyavharnaya.

Nishchyanay shradhan : Atma ka anubhav.
Vyavharnay shradhan: Complete faith in Jainism, Acharyas, sadhu & jain shashtra.

If vakta says something because he wants to be popular or he is greedy then he is increasing his “kashay” as well as listener’s ‘kashay’.

True “vakta” always explains something with “syaadvaad”.
He never tries to prove his opinion.

True Vakta never tries to speak what people like, he always speaks, what jinvani says.

True Vakta is always afraid that if he breaks the ‘Jin-agyna’ then he may give wrong message to the society and it may be harmful.

True Vakta must have “khshmadik gun”. True Vakta has already reduced his ‘raag’, ‘dhwesh’, ‘maya’, ‘maan’. Generally he got all this ‘khasmadik guna’ by reading Jain Agam & Jain Shastra.

He knows Sanskrit, prakrit & jain agam.

He never teaches ‘jinvani’ as his profession or as tuition.
(Jinvani is like our mother, so never think to use it as profession or never try to achieve name and fame from it.)

If ‘vakta’ becomes greedy and expects something from ‘shrota’ then ‘vakta’ become inferior and ‘shrota’ become superior. If we consider Tirthankar as vakta then Tirthankar can’t be inferior.

If ‘vakta’ is aggressive then ‘shrota’ is always afraid of him and never ask any question.
The best ‘vakta’ is who raise the questions by own and gives the ans.

Vakta ke Guna
- Vakta should not be handicapped.
- He must be from ‘Uchcha Kul’.
- His speech should be sweet and pleasant.
- People want to follow him.
- People should respect him.

Page 16:
According to ‘Atmanushashan’, ‘vakta’ should be
- Intelligent
- ‘Kantiman’
- Attractive
- Upsami
- Sant kashayi
- Who has already studied and understood all the ‘shashtra’.
- Who has thought about all the questions
- Who can handle the questions in proper manner
- Whose speech is pleasant and sweet
- People like him because of his speech and his ‘Guna’.

Vakta ke vishesh guna.
- Adhyatama ras ka rasiya : Who studied four ‘Anuyog’ of jinvani.
Four Anuyogs are 1) Charnanuyog 2) Prathmanuyog 3) Karnanuyog 4) Dravyanuyog. (Always give equal importance to all four anuyogs, else it is insulting of jinvani.)
- Who has extensive knowledge of jain shastra and vyakarna.
- Who understood Jain Religion and Atma by ‘adhyatamras’.
- If vakta is ‘atmagyani’ then only he can be true vakta.

According to ‘Pravachan sar’
If 1) aagam-gayn 2) Tatvarth – sradhan 3) Sayambhav are not taken from ‘atamgyan’ then they are ‘sunyakari’ or useless.

If the person is not a true vakta then he is increasing ‘mithyatava’ and ‘ekantvad’.
Two Types of Mithyatava
1) Grahit Mithyatva: acquired by listening.
2) Agrahit Mithyatava: Not acquired by listening. (ex. Body is mine)
